OFFSHORE FISHING -- All-day, 3/4 day, or half-day.

All-day trips depart at 7:00 a.m. and return between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m.

3/4 day trips depart at 7:30 a.m. returning approximately 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Half-day trips depart at 8 a.m. returning approximately 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. returning approximately 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. We can actually be more flexible with the departure times for the half-day charters than any others.

Everyone should report to the boat approximtely 15 minutes prior to the departure time so that everyone can board and get comfortable before departing while the deckhand ices down your beverages and stores your food in a safe place.

Some captains may decide to begin the trip with a few hours of trolling while others may decide to start the day with a few hours of bait fishing. Trolling is the method of fishing where lines are drug or pulled through the water while you enjoy relaxing and socializing with others on board until you hear "FISH ON!". Sometimes there maybe 1 - 6 fish on at the same time. The captain slows the boat even more so that the fish can be reeled in. The deckhand will assist you with the proper technique for reeling in your fish if this is a new experience for you.

Light tackle (bait) fishing may be done with live, cut and/or frozen bait. During the day the captains communicate and assist each other with informaiton in order to know which method of fishing is working best and may change methods throughout the day in order to provide everyone with the best catch possible for that day.

On our 6 and 8 hour trips, you will be fishing between 10 to 20 miles offshore for the redfish, black drum, bonita, jack crevella, cobia (lemon fish), shark, sheephead, king and spanish mackerel and other saltwater species in our area. There may be a 30 minute run time out to one of the local fishing spots so sit back, get comfortable and enjoy the view of our scenic area during this short period.

Mid-April through September or October is the best season for these fish because most of these are migratory fish and start coming into our area when the waters start warming up to about 65 - 70 degrees and leave when the waters begin to cool again.

Once the waters cool down we still have our native fish such as the white trout, ground mullet, flounder, sheephead and more.

Just because the water cools and the air becomes colder doesn't mean we stop fishing. We fish year-round and love what we do!

So remember, no matter what time of year you feel like fishing we will be here to accomodate you.

Just give us a call, pack your bags and camera, load up the family and come on down to Mississippi Gulf Coast for some fishing fun. We are looking forward to fishing with you.
